Yan Fei, Vern & Partners was established in 2021 in Shah Alam, Selangor, by Ng Yan Fei and Lee Vern Sen — one partner from the property side of practice, one from the courtroom.
Between them, the founding partners noticed the same thing from different ends of the profession: clients rarely complained about the law. They complained about not knowing what was happening — unreturned calls, unexplained delays, unclear next steps, being passed from person to person.
The firm was set up to remove those complaints, not with slogans but with structure. We keep our caseload at a level where every file is genuinely known by the lawyer running it. And we report to clients at each stage of a matter, whether or not there is good news to deliver.
What we do
The practice covers 2 halves that most matters need together: disputes — civil and commercial litigation, employment, family, personal injury, insolvency — and transactions — conveyancing and real estate, corporate and commercial agreements, trademarks, wills and probate. A client's problem often crosses practice areas. We can keep those parts connected so your matter is handled with continuity.
Who we act for
Our clients are mostly individuals, families and small-to-medium businesses in the Klang Valley: homeowners buying and selling property, business owners formalising or unwinding arrangements, employees and employers, families administering an estate or navigating a separation.
How we charge
Conveyancing and certain other work is charged on the scales fixed by law. For everything else, we set out the anticipated fees and the basis of charging before we are engaged, and we raise it with you early if the matter develops in a way that changes the estimate.
